Ms. Prisilla Tang

Psychotherapist
Child & Adolescent Counselor

Prisilla is a dedicated and compassionate counsellor with extensive experience supporting both children and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. Her practice is grounded in empathy, respect, and a strong belief in each individual’s capacity for growth and resilience.

Clinical Experiences

Over the years, she has worked with clients presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioural difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, low self-esteem, grief and bereavement, and complex life transitions. She has supported clients across varying levels of symptom severity, including those receiving pharmacological treatment for depression, facilitating symptom reduction, functional improvement, and, in some cases, successful discontinuation of medication under medical supervision.

Her work with children and adolescents focuses on addressing developmental challenges, school-related stress, trauma, family transitions, and social and emotional difficulties. With adults she provides support for long-term mental health conditions, interpersonal and relational concerns, occupational stress, and trauma recovery.

She has particular experience working with children with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the higher spectrum, supporting them and their parents to navigate daily routines, transitions, and social environments more confidently. She works collaboratively with parents to develop practical, strengths-based strategies that promote emotional regulation, executive functioning skills. Her approach emphasises partnership with parents throughout the process.

Therapeutic Approach

She tailors her therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each client, drawing from evidence-based modalities to create a safe, collaborative, and supportive therapeutic space.

When working with children, she integrates age-appropriate, creative, and play-based interventions to help them express and process their emotions effectively. With adolescents and adults, she offers a reflective and structured environment that promotes insight, coping skills, and sustainable change.

“Humans are excellent problem-solvers, born with an innate ability to find solutions to day-to-day challenges.” — Gabriella Lancia, Psychologist.

Most of the time, clients are unable to find solutions to life challenges because they are emotionally overwhelmed. Therapy helps to reboot their innate abilities through gaining insight and calmness.
